Lynn Marie Monson, 57, died in a Los Angeles href="http://www.bestattorney.com/bus_accidents.html" target="_blank">bus accident after the bus she was driving crashed on Carson street. The Daily Breeze reports that the fatal crash happened early morning on December 9, 2009 at Normandie Avenue and 220th Street. The bus went out of control, crashed into a fire hydrant and struck several poles before coming to a stop. It's not clear at this point whether the woman suffered a medical condition before the crash or whether her cardiac arrest was the result of the crash. Monson was driving a City of Gardena municipal bus with four passengers on board. None of the passengers was hurt.
My heart goes out to the family and friends of Lynn Marie Monson for their tragic and heartbreaking loss. I offer my deepest sympathies to them. They will be in my prayers.

Bus accident causes and liability issues
In any car accident or bus accident case, there may be several contributing factors that cause the crash. In this case, we do not know yet whether a medical condition caused the accident. Had any of the bus passengers been injured in this crash, the city of Gardena or the agency running the bus service could be held liable. Bus companies – whether public or private – owe their passengers the highest "duty of care." Passengers count on the bus company for safe transportation. If a bus accident is caused as a result of driver negligence of lack of proper vehicle maintenance on the part of the company, then the bus company could be held liable for the injuries, damages and loss.
