Car Accident Causes and Liability Issues

Based on this news report, it is not clear how or why this rear-end collision occurred. It appears that the pickup truck was legally pulled over on to the shoulder of the freeway. There are some questions that come up here. Why did the other driver rear-end the pickup? Was darkness a factor? Did the pickup have its hazard lights on? CHP officials say alcohol was not a factor. But was the other driver distracted, speeding, driving recklessly or otherwise negligent? Did the other driver swerve out of traffic lanes and hit the pickup? These are questions that must be answered in order to determine the cause of this injury crash.

If the driver of the other vehicle was at-fault for this accident, he or she could be held liable for the crash and resulting injuries.
