According to a CBS 47 news report, the injury car accident occurred at the intersection of West Shields and North Fruit avenues. The boy was sitting in the back seat of a Toyota Corolla when the vehicle was hit by a car that ran a red light at the intersection. The toddler, who police say was not belted into his booster seat, was thrown from the Toyota. But the child did not suffer major injuries. The driver who ran the red light was also transported to a local hospital with unknown injuries. An investigation is ongoing.
