Sacramento City Worker Attacked by a Man

Police and fire personnel were called to the area of Sunrise Drive and Rock Creek Way just after 9 a.m., after senior maintenance worker Paula Sorensen said a man with a hatchet had approached her and at least one other colleague in a city pickup truck. The man smashed the window of the truck and told Sorensen, "There's more where that came from," before running into a home on Stallings Drive.

The report on KXTV News 10 says Sorensen suffered cuts to both her face and arm in the attack. The attacker left the first house he’d run into and reportedly barricaded himself into another home. Police had the area surrounded before 10 a.m.

We would like to wish Paula Sorensen a full recovery from her injuries after this traumatic experience.
