Maria Hemphill, 45, was killed in a San Diego car accident after she lost control of her vehicle and crashed on the State Route 76 in Fallbrook. According to a report in The Village News, the fatal car accident occurred when Hemphill was driving westbound on the highway near Valley Center Road, the afternoon of January 24, 2010. Her vehicle went off the roadway and through a fence. According to the coroner, Hemphill suffered severe head injuries including several skull fractures and bleeding of the brain. She was transported to an area hospital where she died a few hours after the crash.
I offer my deepest condolences to the family and friends of Maria Hemphill for their tragic and heartbreaking loss. The news report states that she is survived by her husband and two young children. This grieving family will certainly be in my prayers.
