A mom who was trying to strap her child to the car seat of her van, sustained injuries in a Los Angeles car accident, after she was struck by an SUV. The accident happened in Glendora, and the driver of the SUV fled the scene of the crash after striking the 39-year-old woman. The San Gabriel Valley Tribune reports that the Ford Expedition SUV struck the woman's Honda Odyssey van in the 1100 block of East Cypress Avenue the evening of December 13, 2009. The SUV hit the Honda van's sliding door which in turn came off and struck the woman. She was left with a broken foot and other injuries.
It Could Have Been a Lot Worse
It is indeed fortunate that the woman was not directly hit by the Expedition. I'm extremely relieved that she did not suffer major injuries and that her young child was safe and unharmed. I hope and pray that this woman recovers quickly and completely from her injuries.
